What is Feng Shui  Anyway.

It’s on the news, in the magazines, filling the bookshelves and featured on Oprah and the Today Show plus many more television shows, including PBS, have special pieces on it.  But just what is this thing called Feng Shui  and why does it have anything to do with you?

Feng Shui is both an art and a science based on the interpretation of the natural world and the study of the environment. It began in China 5,000 years ago when the ancient Chinese holy men began observing natural energies and charting the effects on humans. After years of scientific observation, they developed a plan and a pattern for enhancing and balancing natural energies within an environment. The practice and application of these principles comprise the system called Feng Shui  which offers us the opportunity to achieve health, happiness, well-being, and to create living and working spaces which support our hopes, wishes, dreams and intentions. This is accomplished by blending the five elements of Water, Earth, Wood, Fire and Metal together in a space so that one does not dominate the other, but blend harmoniously to complement and balance one another.

Dr. kac young, is the founder and president of The Feng Shui Specialists, Inc. Incorporating skills learned in a very successful career in the television industry, kac practices her skills in Feng Shui as a way to bring peace and harmony to homes, television viewers, businesses, schools and outside environments.  kac says, Feng Shui is the fastest stress-buster and healer of our dis-eases that I know. I've seen it work so many times and I believe we only can heal the world by healing ourselves first.

The primary principal of Feng Shui is the management of  Ch'i: the life force or vital energy of all animate things. In a home/office where the Ch'i flows evenly, the occupants are positive with an easy passage through life. If your Ch'i is blocked or stuck, there is disharmony. Feng Shui opens the passage for Ch'i to flow, balances the polarities of Yin -Yang, and unblocks the pathway for positive energy.

What Feng Shui can do for you:
It can transform your environment into a space which accurately reflects your goals and helps to implement them by balancing Ch'i (energy) to support your intentions.  By clearing clutter, adding color and moving a few things around in your home you can change your life.
